Imagine waking up with your lashes already done. No mascara, no curler and no smudges by lunchtime. It’s easy to see why extensions have so many devoted fans. If you’re new to them, though, the terminology can feel like its own language: classic, hybrid, volume, mega volume, fills.
Here’s everything you need to know before your first appointment.
What are eyelash extensions?
Extensions are fine synthetic lashes that are applied individually to your natural lashes using a professional adhesive. They aren’t strip lashes, and they aren’t attached to your eyelid. Applied well, each extension sits on a single natural lash, so they move, feel and shed naturally.
Choosing your style
| Style | The look | Time | Full set from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Natural and defined, like great mascara | 90 min | $100 |
| Hybrid | Soft, textured fullness | 100 min | $130 |
| Volume | Lush, dark and fluffy | 110 min | $160 |
| Mega Volume | Our fullest, most dramatic look | 120 min | $190 |
Classic
One extension goes on each natural lash. It’s the most natural choice and a great option for your first set, especially if you already have reasonably full lashes.
Hybrid
A mix of classic lashes and volume fans. Hybrids offer more texture and fullness while keeping a soft look, which makes them a popular middle ground.
Volume and Mega Volume
Several very fine lashes are fanned out and applied to each natural lash. This creates a much fuller, darker effect. It can also be a good way to add density if your natural lashes are sparse. Mega volume is the most dramatic option on the menu.
Preparing for your appointment
- Arrive with clean eyes. Please come without mascara or eye makeup if you can.
- Skip the eyelash curler and any lash serum that your lash artist has not approved.
- Tell us about your eyes. Let us know about allergies, sensitivities, contact lenses or recent eye procedures.
- Plan to relax. You’ll be lying down with your eyes closed for up to two hours, so it’s a good idea to get comfortable.

Aftercare: how to make your lashes last
- Keep them dry at first. Avoid water, steam and saunas for the first 24 to 48 hours while the adhesive sets, or as your lash artist advises.
- Avoid oil-based products. Oils can weaken the adhesive, so check your makeup removers, cleansers and eye creams.
- Clean them gently. Lashes still need washing. Use a lash-safe cleanser to keep the lash line free of makeup and buildup.
- Brush them daily. A clean spoolie brush keeps them fanned out and looking neat.
- Don’t rub or pick. Pulling at extensions can take your natural lashes with them.
- Skip waterproof mascara. It’s hard to remove and can shorten the life of your set.
Keeping your set full
Your natural lashes shed every day as part of a normal growth cycle, and the extensions fall out with them. That’s why most guests book a fill every two to three weeks. If you decide it’s time for a break, don’t pull them off. We offer a safe, gentle lash removal for $25.
Ready to try them?
If you’re unsure which style suits you, we usually suggest starting with Classic or Hybrid. You can always build up from there. See all our options on the lash menu, then book your appointment and plan to wake up ready.
